We have officially moved in to our Castle on 10th Dec 2005. Its been a super duper tiriing weekend for both of us. Have to do all the packing den moving the stuff to our new place. On top of these, we have to make multiple trips with my small space availabe in my car. :3d_002:

Realised that we have many small items that need to be acquire and thus half of the time was spent going ard to buy them. Things like dustbin, bamboo, cloth, etc, etc…..

Even till today, I still have stuff left at my parents home that still need to move. Man…. This is tiring but at least we are enjoying it. Contradicting huh. :3d_011:

This will be the date we officially move in to the castle. Stay tuned! :3d_043:

Entering into the final weeks of renovation. One final item yet to be install. The all important cooking hob. As we are using the gov/citygas, we need to arrange for them to do the installation. :3d_042:

Beside the hob, Eddy will still have a few “touchup” or corrections to make.
- There are still a few brown stain on the floor and some hairline black stain. :3d_016:
- The power plug that is at the TV console wall has a different tone of paint around it. Need to repaint to ensure the tone matches
- The kitchen wall tiles has alot of white patches which maybe due to paint or cement/paster.
- The wall behind the door has chip/crack due to the door banging on it b4 the stopper is installed. :3d_047:
- The main door knob is faulty!!!! :3d_005:

What a tiring day! Our day started with Serta guys coming down at 8.20….. Its really a hot and glaring scorching day! I haf some difficulty capturing pix cos its realli tooo bright! While my guy rushed up to open the door for them, I was downstairs snappin pix away. Their delivery van has jus smacked up some new stickers! Coooool!!
Mehhhhhh.. Mehhhhhhhh….(Sheep Calling)

If I were those Sheep 1, 18 and 37 (the ones on the sticker) I will feel so dammm cool to be taken with a RED HOT chiooooo Toyota IST. My guy loves red even though he doesnt admit it. AHHAAHHAH. Anyway, someone from the advertising coy for Serta should come up with an idea of taking pix of those sheeps travelling around the world. These sheep should take a break! RTW Trip! heee..

Other than the comfort and shiokness of their beds, It just made me feel so good buying from them cos of their branding of their brandmark/product bigtime-tastefully-done-up-out-of-the-box well-executed-idea concept of their beds. Their mascots, which are the counting sheeps are drop dead sexy CUTE ones! Added with a quirky mixed of personality, their ads made a lasting impression when they projected a tickle-ur-funny-bone type of advert/TVC. They made the mascots even cuter when they give u one free sheep softtoy when u get their bed. It even has the number sewn on their back. HAHAH.. Its part of their branding to give u one even u mite not be a big sheep fan. But heck…for me i appreciate the branding efforts behind this brandmark. So i cant help it but keep snapping away the pix on their BIG LORRY. HEHHE. Halfway through, my camera batt died on me! EEEKKSSS.. thank god that i took pics of those serta sheeps! HEEE…:3d_039:

So when i realised that I am taking too much time takin those serta sheeps, i find myself walking kanjiong spiders up to my castle and found the bed is sitting outside. I tink i missed the process of the carrying of the headboard. Eeeks. The next moment, our bed is taken off the rollers, waiting to be carried in… Cool…

This uncle so kanjiong, thot i was frm some govt takin pix of them anyhow park dwnstairs or something. AHHAHAHA.. despite being them turning up early and carrying such heavy stuff in hot perspiration, they are super friendly and polite to chat with…

Two free vacummed packed pillows. Heard frm my sis-in-law who bot together with us mentioned that the pillows are so comfy.. CANT wait to try them! HEE.

The delivery guy told us that he handpicked Sheep 99 for us. WAHHAHA.. Dear Dila, just in case u are wondering, in chincheong, 9 its called ‘jiu’ and there is an chincheong phrase of “chang chang jiu jiu” meaning everlasting. Usually its used in wedding to congratulate couple and stuff.

When I went up, I was pleasantly surprise that the door has a SUPER DUPER sexy looking magnetic stopper installed. Now the door is wide open without me stuffing a piece of thick corrugated paper underneath the wooden door. THANKS EDDY!!! :3d_037:

Here is the pic of the red sofa. See i told u guys rite? My guy seriously loves red. He handpicked this sofa frm OM. We haf seen countless no of lshaped ones and fabric ones. This sofa was a love at 1st sight. It ooozes out the feeling of falling in love all over! HEHEHEH.. :3d_020: U guys should see how he cleans this sofa! this one is his baby… AHAHHA

To ensure that the reno will be finished by then, we will be arranging most of the furnishings to come in on 29 Oct, Sat. The following items will be comin in at the allocated time slots:

1. Mayer’s Ariston Oven > 10am - 1pm
2. Star Furniture Dining Table > 10am - 2pm
3. Toshiba Washing Machine > 4pm - 6pm
4. Samsung Fridge > 4pm - 6pm

Praying that by this time, defects are all rectified and handover done.

The saddest part is the departing of the $$$… Delivery = Money Gone…

As a designer, I find it fascinating that people are reacting to the notice that I have designed and place outside my hse entrance. There have been numerous amount of people coming to our place and the feedback on the notice has been interesting. they find it amusing! hee. I happen to capture a shot of the Star Furniture Delivery Men outside.

THis part is scary. The delivery men nearly cant push the fridge in to our kitchen. Phew. After some unscrewing and twisting and adjusting, they managed to push it in. Cool. hee.
